The Metaphor of the Playground: We are playing happily in our playground, but then we encounter a Bully who roughs us up. We walk away with scrapes and bruises and clearly don't like what's happened. What do we do?

We begin building up our defenses and fortifying ourselves with protection so the Bully won't hurt us again. We may even go to the extreme of acquiring weapons so we feel we can retaliate if they come back to hurt us. But what's happened? We've bought into the ideas of fear, anger, and aggression.
